Hello once again, welcome to Episode 29 of the Impact DJs Trance and Progressive podcast. This week its me Andy Jackson taking you through some of the new Euphoric Trance releases avalable from 16th August onwards. As such we have tracks from ReOrder, Danial Kandi, Fast Distance & Claudia Cazacu amongst others.

I think this week I have to say my favourite tune by far is ReOrder feat Stine – Biscay Bay (The Ferry Tayle Neverending Story Remix), this vocal track for me is quite a stunner and definately the best track released this week! ReOrder actually also has a weekly slot on my favourite Trance radio station Discover Trance

Another track I did like was Claudia Cazacu – Translucent. I am a fan of Claudia Cazacu anyway and this is another good release by her. A couple of the last tracks on the mix were not actually on release this week but i thought id throw in a couple of older releases just for good measure.

Hello everyone

Been a couple of weeks since I came on here to have a good old rant about the state of the Trance scene so I thought now would be as good a night as any! And anyway its not as if the Impact blog and podcast doesnt usually have enough amazing Trance mixes to keep you beat-tastically satisfied (now i am ranting)!

Ok so first thing, the Above and Beyond Trance around the World podcast. This weeks was episode number #333 and it was amazing! It was so good I actually felt like I had to come on here and actually write about it! Admittedly Im a big fan of TATW and I even take inspiration from Above & Beyond I think they’re awesome but for me, this week was super special. Click here to listen if you want to know what I mean.

So next thing I found this week and it kind of relates to the above, does anyone know if Juventa are releasing a new artist album? I only mention this as the above said podcast aired not 1 but 2 very good Juventa tracks;

Ah yes another thing I never actually posted about, Tiesto – Victoria Park 2010. My personal review. I didnt really enjoy Tiesto that much. There I said it! Ok so Tij the big man is a legend, I am obviously never going to dispute that. But he has become so commercial now, it was actually kind of sad to see. Me and my friend Skorpio even voted with our feet and left 30 mins early as the last 30 mins of the set were basically the same stuff I can go to my local tennie-bopper crap nightclub and listen to. Not good. Even the classics – Delerium – Silence and Suburban Train were very predictable. Sorry Tiesto but I think you may have had your heyday.

Oh talking of heyday I recently saw somewhere the DJ mag top 100 vote is now open again this year and is open until 23rd September. Apparently the mp3 store Track It Down are sponsoring. So anyway just to let you all know, heres my vote and please be reminded I tend to vote for producers as well as DJ talent, to me they both attribute to an artists repotoire;

Hello once again Trance fans, welcome back to Impact DJs nd yet another week for the Trance and Progressive podcast. Episode 026 marks our first half year of Impact DJs and so far I can say I have had a lot of fun working on the mixes and making them available to the public for free!

So this week its me Andy Jackson with a combination of both Trance and Progressive tracks put together for your audio enjoyment. Favourites for me this week are a new release by 4 Strings – Sundown, im glad to see 4 Strings are still producing high quality tunes, they are a personal favourite of mine. Also that track was only released this week.

Secondly I also liked The Flyers & Mike Sonar – Supreme (Daniel Kandi Remix), really nice heavy stomping bassline on that track. Also just to keep in tribute with the classic Trance from back in the day I have added on – Future Breeze – Temple of Deams to the end ofthe mix, a great classic im sure you will all recognise.

Hello ravers

I’m not usually one for writing blog posts that make people jealous. In fact its rare I write blog posts on here at all which is probably something I should make more effort to do. But since its summer and I’m feeling creative I thought id write something I find interesting – Tiesto!

Ok so that probably doesn’t make sense but for those of you that don’t know – DJ Tiesto is Coming to Victoria Park London on July 30th – and me Andy Jackson will be there representing Impact DJs along with a few other friends.

Tiesto (real name Tijs Verwest) is again performing this event with Pendulum providing a crowd warm up during the afternoon. This is the second time the Tiesto events machine has organized this gig. I also attended the same event last year and I have to say it was a very good event. Not only did you get 6 hours of Tiesto playing Electro and more to the point, Trance classics (think Delirium – Silence, Tiesto – Suburban Train etc!), but the whole event was very well run. For example you could actually get drinks from the token bars (doesn’t happen at all festivals)!

Also this weekend Global Gathering is happening up north in Stratford Upon Avon. Tiesto is also playing at Global and I suspect his gig in London the day before is by no means coincidence, more of a money maker I think – when in Rome to coin a phrase.

However I’m sure Victoria Park will be a very good event as long as the sun is shining and the cold drinks are flowing. I’m even going to get myself a pair of those glow stick glasses that I keep seeing around – seriously cool!

As a bonus, Tiesto being in London also tends to make the London clubs book up Trance DJs for their Friday evening entertainment for the masses. So far the best line up I have seen is @ The Gallery (MOS), with Jon O’Callaghan, Sean Tyas, Mat Zo and others playing through till 6am. Whether I have the energy after Tiesto to attend is another matter and I’m sure I will let you know in another post soon!

Hello once again fellow Trance fans. This week almost sees the completion of our first half year in business here on Impact DJs and what a first 6 months its been. Me and Minorthreat are committed more than ever to bringing you top quality Trance and Progressive as we always have and as such, this week sees something special.

Although im not one to boast, this week its me Andy Jackson back behind the decks and this week I have gone all out. In this release we have some stomping fresh tracks, taking you right through the spectrum from easy progressive up to stomping back catalogue Trance.

My favourites on release this week include Super8 & Tab – Mercy (this is a really good track / think 80s throwback male vocals!), David West – Larry Mountains 54 (Juventa Remix) which is going to be on Anjunabeats 8 and also Yuri Kane – Whirlpool, another mellow Trance track.

I honestly hope you enjoy this one, Ive already listened to it repeatedly since I recorded it Monday and still loving it to the max!

Check back next week for episode 026 which puts us past our first 6 months. Me and Andy will have a think and see if we cant come up with something extra special!

Good evening once again Trance fans and welcome to episode 024 of the Impact DJs podcast. This week its me Andy Jackson in the mix bringing a 1 hour Trance mix of both the newest and classic Trance tracks, combined into a single blissful 1 hour mix!

Ok enough of the self praise, I cant take all the credit for this weeks mix, I have to say there are some very good releases out at the moment. Most noticeably for me are Alt+F4 – Alt+F4 (Dan Stone Remix) – this track could well go anthemic for years to come! Also this week I really enjoyed mixing Shogun – Nothing Else Matters, a female vocal track released in June that somehow skipped under my radar (doesnt happen often!).

Also as its Ibizia season I thought it might be nice to finish up with a real Ibiza classic so just for good measure, Warrior – Warrior was dropped onto the end of the mix. A true classic that will never be forgotten!

Hello people! This week its me Andy Jackson back on the decks after a short spell away – mostly due to the fact that I had to completely rebuild my setup after a move (reconfiguring traktor to work with my mixer was a bitch)!

Anyway ive been aching to get some of the more recent Euphoric releases back on the Impact Podcast agenda and this week I think I have thoroughly succeeded. In fact I threw in 2 or 3 old tracks for good measure, opening the set with Ralphie B – Massive (If you don’t recognise this tune then well…..).

Apart from the older tracks in there I have to say my favourite track out on release at the moment is definately 7 SKies & Kiholm – Lost & Found (Dan Stone Remix), this tune is pure Trance heaven. Im also liking Masoud – Blinded (Sebastian Brandt Remix) and also Jon O Bir – Found a Way (Joint Operations Centre Remix).

At least now my setup is back me and Minorthreat will again be going head to head each week bringing you the freshest Intelligent Trance and Progressive once again! So for now enjoy the mix and see you soon
